Job Summary:The clinical staff pharmacist performs daily pharmacist functions using standard techniques and procedures to process written prescriptions issued by physicians, dentists, and other qualified prescribers. Provides information, keeps pertinent records, oversees medication preparation and generally protects the well being of patients by checking for adverse reactions, allergies, overdoses, and inappropriate use and dose of prescribed medications. Uses clinical skills to monitor medications and dose selected by order of the physician or approved medical staff protocols.
